Der schnellste auf der Strecke: Der KTM X-Bow von Hohenester Sport aus Gaimersheim zeigte bei den traditionellen High-Performance-Days des Fachmagazins Sport Auto auf dem Hockenheimring, wer der Herr im Hause ist und gewann zum zweiten Mal in Folge den Tuner Grand Prix. Hohenester Sport aus Gaimersheim hatte drei Fahrzeuge genannt: KTM X-Bow (Foto links). Gumpert Apollo (rechts) und Audi TT RS. Den größsten Erfolg fuhr der Österreicher Reinhard Kofler im X-Bow ein. Ihm gelang mit 1:04,9 Minuten die schnellste Einzelzeit, die je bei einem Tuner Grand Prix erzielt wurde, Die Siegerzeit aus fünf Runden lag im Mittel bei 1:05,521. Jeweils Zweite in der Klassenwertung wurden Rainer Bonetsmüller (Tulling) im Apollo (1:12,487) und Markus Gedlich (Frankfurt) im Audi TT RS (1:11,909).
